Abstract

The activity of employees accesing the internet because they have free time, trigger the emergency of cyberloafing behavior, internet use is recommended for work purposes, but is used for personal purposes during working hours. Cyberloafing activities will disrupt employee productivity, and reduce organizational performance. This research aims to determine the causes of cyberloafing behavior among employees of the Central Java Province Cooperatives and SMEs Department by paying attention to the variables of Work Boredom, Self-Control, Work Environment, and Work Motivation. This research uses quantitative methods with the AMOS version 23 program. Test results shows Work Boredom, Self-Control, Work Environment, and Work Motivation influence on Cyberloafing Behavior. Work Motivation does not really play a role as an intervening variable, it can only mediate the relationship between the influence of the Work Environment on Cyberloafing Behavior.
