Abstract

The main objective of this study is to identify, through the analysis of Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), which individuals are most deserving of government assistance, with the hope of contributing to the economic welfare of the community through the distribution of social assistance. To find out how the poor are handled based on Law Number 13 of 2011, this study uses a normative-empirical legal approach. Data for this descriptive qualitative study came from in-depth interviews, participant observation, and written notes. After the data was collected, the data was reviewed by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the relationship between social assistance and economic welfare has an important relationship in efforts to improve the economic welfare of the community, especially for the underprivileged. One of the main tools used to distribute assistance is through DTKS data, which functions as a database of aid recipients. DTKS is an important instrument used by the government to distribute social assistance to people in need, in accordance with Law Number 13 of 2011 concerning Handling the Poor. By utilizing DTKS data, sub-districts can ensure that social assistance is given to those who really need it. The economic welfare of the community, especially vulnerable and poor groups, has increased greatly thanks to the social assistance provided by the sub-district.
